We had 6pm reservations on Easter and were the first to arrive and we were put in the back corner where we were next to a table of 6….within minutes a couple came in and they were seated behind us with a 2 year old and fussy 6 month old. Then the table of six came in which ended to be seven. 3 children under 5 and 4 adults….mind you one child was restless the middle was having a screaming meltdown and the youngest wanted to be breast fed….felt a bit sorry for mom. We finally got our meal around 7:20 just as we had enough and were ready to leave. We ate as fast as we could and in fact didn’t finish just to leave….my husband suffers from a traumatic brain injury and loud noises set off headaches….he couldn’t handle the screaming any longer. It was like being in a nursery school. We left and the staff apologized as they didn’t know there was going to be children but as we walked out we noticed there were 5 empty two person tables that we felt we could have been relocated too. It’s a shame as our hotel said that this was their favorite restaurant. Mind you we are not opposed to children but we felt that it was mishandled. We always leave a minimum 10%tip or more depending on the service but this time we didn’t leave anything. We are well seasoned travelers for the last 50 years and have residency in an EU. Disappointing last supper in Brugge….we had been to Brugge on our 1st anniversary 49 years ago….
