We Made a reservation and could not get a table.
I came with very high expectations but in the end it was a very unsatisfying experience: ordering through smartphone, very distant waiters, paying BEFORE we receive our food and just extremely disappointing food... The lackluster food and awful atmosphere do not justify the high price at all. I do not recommend this place to any of my friends or family at all.
We had a gift certificate for 75 euros that was 13 months old, they refused to honor it
Expensive, false promises, bad service
We reserved at 20.15 but once we arrived they told us that we have to leave at 21.00 if we want to have dinner
Alles was abominabel droog. Proeft de chef hier eigenlijk zelf wel van? - Prijs/kwaliteits: Veel moeten betalen voor een onaangename ervaring. Wij komen hier nooit meer!
frankly I wasn't going to leave any feedback but since you are asking me to do so. Let's go! It's been several times that we eat in beiruti. We have lived many years in the Middle East and the Lebanese cuisine has no secrets for us. We are aware that when we return to France it would be difficult to find the quality of what we left but yesterday's experience was more than horrible. What surprises me about the restaurant in Ghent is that the service and the quality of the food differs from time to time during the day and week. We live in Lille and yesterday we drove 140km to go and back to have dinner at beiruti. We had booked for 9pm to eat inside and when the manager I guess placed us, what a surprise to see that for 3 adults he offered us a small table for 2 people. So small that there was no room to put another plate in the center of the table. We are not the kind of people who only order small things so I didn't know where the restaurant staff wanted to place the plates we ordered. But maybe it's the restaurant's policy to do it the way it's done, it's definitely a bad idea. After negotiation with the manager he decided to place us outside on the terrace on a table for 4 people. How can I put it? we had to keep our jackets on because it was so cold. well, we ordered the meal and it arrived within 5 minutes. Cooking meat in 5 minutes is impossible. Result: my salad was "bathed in oil and you could see that it had been ready a long time before and the meat, whether it was chicken or kefta, was reheated! Not to mention that the portions are getting smaller and smaller for the price, it's unacceptable. Yes, the meat was dry and reheated. What a shame! Even the soda water was not fresh. The only things that were good were the manouchés because the person made them on the spot. I don't usually mess with establishments like this but this was abuse. So we had dinner with our down jackets on, cold food with no flavor. We started dinner at 9:06pm and at 9:20pm we ...
I had a reservation that was accepted. I had mentioned that I was only one person. I sat on the bench waiting for 45 minutes, then left, hungry. I adressed the tablemanager 3 times during that time and he was trying to avoid me and made no efforts towards a solution, other than trying to not see me. Now, I can understand if in busy times there are waiting times, and I could understand you not taking single persons on a table when you could have two people. But in this case, you just should NOT accept the reservation. A reservation is promise to at least feed somebody. You failed very badly, here, and the tablemanager, middle-aged, black curly hair, blue jacket, did a terrible job, showing neither hospitality, nor friendliness, nor offering a solution. Very unprofessional.
