The restaurant wasn’t cheap so our expectancy was quite high. The place: the lantern or lamp has lots of dead insects at the bottom, sign that it hasn’t been cleaned in a while. The place also was somewhat somber. Maybe some flowers might have helped. Paper napkins in a high end restaurant is definitely a no-no. The tray where food was served was sticky, which didn’t give a good impression. The food: I think it was very expensive considering the servings. I left the place hungry even after eating some of my sister’s portions as she doesn’t eat much red meat. I think your food is inspired by kaiseki or nouvelle cuisine which typically serve the customers tiny portions. However, in kaiseki and nouvelle cuisine the number of servings is more numerous therefore, the customer finishes the dinner satisfied. After dessert at your place I was still hungry. I think the course lacks one something that gives you a sense of satisfaction. I hope I have not offended anyone and this comment could help to improve the restaurant.
