The wait staff were extremely kind and knowledgeable about the menu. The man recommending the wines did a fantastic job. The food was delicious and I LOVE how clean and simple it was, not covered in butter and oil and gimmicks. I came to see if this would be a good place to being clients. And it was. The prices were also a draw because the food is high quality but not overpriced. The atmosphere was very nice for winter, and because there is a lot of soft materials, it's not terribly noisy, so you can have a conversation.
As valued customers, we were given special permission to have lunch on December 31, even though the kitchen was closed and busy preparing for New Year's Eve. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would like to thank the friendly staff once again.
The Dominican is a place that makes you feel welcome and the atmosphere is very good.

Le personnel était très avenant. Les plats étaient bons, biens équilibrés. Sauf le dessert ! Le biscuit sablé était très compact, difficile à manger avec une cuillère et même en bouche il était assez dur. J’ai passé une belle soirée d’anniversaire sauf qu’il manquait des bougies comme demandé lors de ma réservation.
Alors le cadre est tres bien, la nourriture de tres bonne qualité, le serveur en particulier est top, mais globalement beaucoup trop d’attente pour les plats. Et en plus souci pour le paiement en société, alors que cela était clairement précisé a la réservation, confirmé par la reception, mais le manager en a décidé autrement a la fin du repas.
Good friendly service and efficient staff.
I booked lunch for December 25th. The maître d'hôtel told me that only the classic dishes, decided by the chef, were available. There was no Christmas music either. The service was incredibly slow, even though I was the only person in the restaurant. When I asked the maître d'hôtel for dessert recommendations, he simply replied, "I don't eat dessert." So, a very, very big disappointment for a Christmas lunch that I had planned well in advance. Furthermore, I ordered Angus beef, but the head waiter never asked how I wanted it cooked and served me rare beef… almost inedible.
